MINORS AND CHILDREN PRIVACY POLICY

Our Enright Sun Safety Certification program (www.enrightsunshinesafety.org) is for children ages 5 and over. We are sensitive to privacy issues with respect to children, especially those under the age of 13. As such, we recognize the need to provide additional privacy protections when children under the age of 13 visit our site. The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requires that we inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under the age of 13; and that we obtain the consent of parents and guardians in order for children under the age of 13 to use certain features of our Web sites. To ensure the maximum protection for children under the age of 13, the Enright Sun Safety Certification program has separate links for children under the age of 13.

Below we explain how we seek to protect the privacy of children under the age of 13.

What personal information do we collect about children and how do we use it?

As a threshold, children can visit the Enright Melanoma Foundation and Enright Sun Safety Certification websites, view content, and take the Enright Sun Safety course without any personal information being entered. Only if the child wishes to receive a certificate does the child have to enter their first name and zip code.

If the child wishes to obtain the certificate, non-identifying information is collected from children under the age of 13. Only their first name and zip code are requested. Information is collected solely for the purpose of reporting statistics to our sponsors and/or funders, and the printing of a certificate.

Does the Enright Melanoma Foundation use cookies to monitor a child’s (or adult’s) online activity?

The Enright Melanoma Foundation does not use cookies to monitor a child’s online activity, geo-location information, or to gather other personal information about children under the age of 13.
